Game of Thrones Ascent is a strategic video game written by Disruptor Beam to be played as an iPad app, a Facebook app or on Kongregate.

It won 2013 Facebook Game of the Yea (Staff Picks) and scooped the 2013 Friendie Award.

Like the Game of Thrones Slot Machine, this strategy game is themed on the series of novels called "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin and the HBO Game of Thrones TV Series. It is the first social network game.

The game features all manner of human strategic relationships, such as  "alliance building, treachery, marriages, murders, and the constant battle to be the greatest house in Westeros.

In Game of Thrones Ascent, you assume control of the head of a insignificant House in Westeros. The choices you make will affect the destiny of you  character and how other characters will relate to him or her.

You can also hire mercenaries known as "Sworn Swords", that will complete Quests and Adventures for yu.

You must swear loyalty to one of the Houses of Westeros; House Baratheon, House Greyjoy, House Lannister, House Stark, House Targaryen, House Tully, House Martell or House Tyrell.

This is a unique type of social networked game that draws on the Game of Thrones story and allows players to develop their own strategy while they become a noble during the time of great upheaval that is described in the books and TV series. Players must choose which of the Great Houses they swear allegiance to, choose their lineage, secure their propoerty and possessions, build their lands and reputation. They must build alliances with friends and defeat their enemies.

You'll need to make moral calls in this game that will affect the virtual lives of other players, and will determine how your life as a noble play out. The game os steeped in the political and social themes of Westeros and with diplomacy, pacts, marriages and betrothals, your fate is in your own hands.
